This week our meeting with Shaun went well.

For Thursday we will have our full functioning game.

This week I've been watching videos on Animate CC just to get to grips on how the software works and how to use it.

Only half of this video was actually needed as the designs for the game have already been done.

I started to watch a video where the game was made using html5 and java script which I thought could be cool because we already have some knowledge on HTML and JavaScript but as we are making a game for an iPad theres was no point in continuing his tutorials. Plus his voice was hard to follow and he wasn't the best at explaining what he was doing or why.

                                      

I am currently behind this week so I will be very busy on the game in the next two days to get it finished for Thursday.

    Hey Esmee,

    I really enjoyed reading through your game blog for week 11 for the project this semester. I find your game to be really fun and interesting. After reading through your blog and viewing your screenshots from what you have done in the Animate CC software I feel like you have a real grasp on what you want to achieve for this game and how you want to go about doing it. So far your game looks really impressive and interesting. You have done so much work so far from what I can see from your screenshots so well done! What kind of music are you going for? What theme are you going for in your game? What's your stylistic approach for the characters in your game? From looking at your progress I can see that you and your group are doing extremely well. Overall I find your game to be really well thought out. I look forward to seeing the development of the game as the weeks progress and the final result. Good luck with the development of your game!

UNITY TUTORIAL 01 Welcome back to my Blog, In this blog I will discuss my thoughts on my first Unity Tutorial by Jimmy Vegas. I had never used Unity before. It is a very similar layout to Blender so I didn't find the controls as difficult to get the hang of as I did when I first used Blender. I think it's easier to use than Blender, everything is more accessible and there doesn't seem to be as many hidden menus. Though I'm sure when we start doing more complex things on Unity it will be just as difficult as Blender.  Jimmy Vegas was very clear and his tutorial was very easy to follow along with, he explained everything he did really well but didn't dwell on anything for too long. I stayed engaged and didn't get bored, which I often do. It's a really cool software, Although I do like how we were just given packs to download but I would be very interested to learn how to make a tree and different terrains and textures by myself. Game Design Document

Game Design Document I'm in a group with Eva Garrett, Nicole Goodman, Robyn Mulhall, Nhu Thai, Marcin Grabicki and Emma Byrne. After doing some research we decided we wanted to make an app for an iPad instead of a game for the laptop we think it would be much more suitable for the game we want to make and for the age group.  We were inspired by Leap-Frog and Animal Crossing.  Kids are attracted to bright colours, we notice colours and begin to distinguish objects based on colour from a very young age so it's important to make sure the game is very bright. We will keep this in mind when designing the game. A lot of kids are visual learners and auditory learners, it's important that they make the association with the sound and word/numbers.  We are making a game for an iPad. The game will be an e-learning game for kids ages four to eight years old.  The game will be a mathematical game based on a farm. The player will be asked a series of questions such as
