Tech Task, Twine

Tech Task Week 10 I tried twinery.org to make a story. I just copied the number idea but I think it's a cool engine and could be an interesting way to make scenarios up. If you have two great ideas for a story but unsure what one to g with you could mix them up using twinery.org.  When I read the tech task post I assumed it was going to give you an automated story that would inspire and help you come up with a story. I don't think it's that helpful as you have to already have your story planned out a little bit. Story Passage

Games Testing

Games Testing Types of Testing Bug Testing (or Quality Assurance) The purpose of this is to find errors in the game relative to its design. How “Fun” the game is isn't relevant. If the designer says that the game should do one thing but it is doing another, that is a bug and needs to be identified. Focus Testing In a focus test, you bring together players that are part of the target audience’s to determine how well the game serves their needs. Usability Testing In a usability test, players are given specific tasks to accomplish in an attempt to see whether they understand how to control the game.  Balance Testing A fun game can become boring if the game lets a player bypass most of the interesting choices in the game. Alpha I am finding my game difficult to make. Last week my Unity crashed and I had to download it again for this week it is being very slow and laggy though. I will have to use the computers in college to finish my game if it continues.  So far I have set my scene, I used a package and got new trees. I am finding it difficult to get the lighting correct on them though, I have tried different textures and colours but it stays quite dark All the rubbish packages on the Asset Store cost money so I have used a cube instead of the rubbish for now. I put Jimmy Vegas' code for the Gem collector on it. Currently I am just using the first person perspective player. I do intend to make a third person character I just need to do more research on it. Overall I'm struggling to make my game as Unity is slow and keeps crashing when I do manage to get going on it. For the first time in this module I am finding it a challenge to keep up with the workload. By next week
